We were informed that till the 1965 war it was Rohri operated from Mumbai India after which its control was taken over by the Government of Pakistan. Later it became a unit of the State Cement Corporation of Pakistan. The Company was privatized and all its assets were sold to a private party as per privatization policy introduced in the Country. M/s. National Transport Company which was Associated Company of M/s. Sardar Muhammad Ashraf D. Baluch (Pvt.) Limited (SMADB), purchased the factory in the year 2003. After purchase of the Plant & Machinery it was operated to manufacture the cement-after renovation work the plant has resumed production. Associated Cement Company Rohri being a State Owned Company after privatization was registered as Private Limited Company as per Registration No. K-09728 of 2003- 2004 dated 31/12/2003 under the Company Ordinance 1984. Originally the Rohri Cement Plant is suitably located at Rohri, District Sukkur which is the Central Zone of the cement market.
